Our first Read Aloud this year will be The Wayside School is Falling Down, by Louis Sachar. This is a very entertaining
book. It is only one in a series of books, so if you're enjoying it, look for the others.

Our third read aloud will be The Watson's Go to Birmingham, 1963, by Christopher Paul Curtis. This is a
moving story about a family who goes to Birmingham, Alabama to visit their grandmother. The story is set during the
Civil Rights movement and blends fictional and non-fictional elements.
