Our first Read Aloud this year will be The Wayside School is Falling Down, by Louis Sachar.  This is a very entertaining book.  It is only one in a series of books, so if you're enjoying it, look for the others.

Visit Roald Dahl's Website.

Our third read aloud will be The Watson's Go to Birmingham, 1963, by Christopher Paul Curtis.  This is a moving story about a family who goes to Birmingham, Alabama to visit their grandmother.  The story is set during the Civil Rights movement and blends fictional and non-fictional elements.
